“Can you make it look like a hotel lobby, not a doctor’s office”

This was the brief for Harbour Spine Surgeons’ new consulting rooms in St Leonards, Sydney.

With feature linen wallpaper and fluted timber wall panels, herringbone timber flooring, soft lighting within coffered ceilings and bespoke Carrara marble reception counter, the atmosphere invokes a premium hotel feel rather than a doctor’s office.

The spacious reception transforms into a conference venue at night for doctors to discuss new technologies, featuring an LCD artwork screen and a custom beverage centre for clients during the daytime, that opens to become a full bar for industry events.

The features do not stop at reception, with luxe hospitality finishes extending into the generous staff kitchen, offices and consulting rooms that overlook the city skyline.
