Centre for Eye Health

Guide Dogs NSW/ACT appointed BigCity Design to design and manage the development of this landmark research facility.  A specialist ocular imaging centre, wholly funded by Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.

Located at the University of NSW, Kensington, the brief was to create a client experience akin to a 5 star hotel experience, tailored to a vision impaired customer base.  BigCity Design then undertook the design and management of this 1,000sqm project to final completion.

The design features clever wayfinding via directional carpet, nodal points and colour blocks to direct vision impaired clients throughout the space, making them feel safe, confident and comfortable.
