Stage One Sound, Australia’s first post-production custom sound studio, was one of only eight Dolby “Premier” accredited studios globally and the largest such facility in Australia when it first opened its doors to the world’s elite directors and filmmakers. It was designed to accommodate film director, Baz Luhrmann’s specific requirements for the movie, Australia.

A highly technical design and complex build, the studios are sealed acoustic boxes within a larger warehouse space to ensure the highest sound quality.

Traditionally located in darkened buildings, this facility is unique in that it captures the abundant natural light, throwing it deep into the warehouse to illuminate the reception, open air meeting rooms and green rooms.

Stage One Sound was awarded “Dolby Premier” accredited soon after its completion.
